Continuing Education (CE) at Academic Planning and Accountability (APA) carries out its mission to extend lifelong learning and professional development opportunities to adult and nontraditional students by providing increased access to university programs.  Short-term courses and training programs are developed and customized in a variety of formats and can be offered with flexible schedules lectured by professionals and experts in each field, thus adding quantifiable value to students, organizations, and the workforce.

CE, with the support of FIU’s academic units, business and professional community will improve the quality of your workforce, maintain your competitive edge, and increase the added value of your organization.  Maintaining a satisfied, motivated workforce directly contributes to productivity.  Together as a team, we will develop and implement effective educational programs and services tailored to your specific needs. These  professional development and lifelong learning programs can be offered on-site at FIU or at convenient off-site venues.  And, because we believe language should not be a barrier to advancement, many of our professional development classes are taught in numerous languages such as Spanish, French and Portuguese.
